What part of my life is 'LIFE' ?

This is how I spend my day
3 hours for driving - this part of my life is called driver !!
10 hours for programming - This part of my life is called an employee !!
6 hours for sleeping - This part of my life is called a tired human !!
5 hours miscellaneous - This part of my life is called - UNKNOWN !!

What part of my life is called LIFE? I am sure this is not just with me !! this is with everyone!! Sometimes I feel life really sucks!! but then I recall the word called Motivation, and get motivated... and keep going... I wish, I was able to kill my dreams and live a simple peaceful life, but I know I cant. So, if you cant kill your dreams, then be prepared to kill your peace :-) a better word to express the same is "Motivation".

End of Sunday, had a working Saturday, and partially working Sunday too :-(. Waiting for Monday,

"Thank God It's Monday" - how many people reading this blog think this way? be honest please . I get to listen to that on a local radio channel, as a marketing message from one of the software companies around here. I am sure the reality is definitely not the same. Will have to start off the week and wait for Friday to say - Thank God it's Friday !! lets be realistic.

Finally, I am still waiting to find my part of life that is LIFE !!!!

Story of three monkeys !!

I remember listening to this story a very long ago.. they were transporting monkeys in a ship with each drum having monkeys from different countries - India, abc and xyz. The other two drums were locked, so that monkeys don't escape, and the one with Indian monkeys was not. When the same was asked, the answer was - if one monkey tries to escape the others would pull it down. The moral of the story was - an Indian never lets other Indian grow - that made me feel bad, but sometimes found to be real !!! but looks like even the American monkeys need not be locked either.. read this news - click here may be the story was right then.. good to see others joining us :-) is this the affect of the gushing Indians to the US ;-)

what a stupid statement ?????

I watched a super nonsense movie today - "Anjaana Anjaani" - forget the stupid movie - there was a statement in the movie that goes - Live everyday like it is your last - I am sure this movie was not the origin of this statement and was snatched up from somewhere - I don't believe creativity in many movies out here. Let us get back to that statement - Live everyday like it is your last - how stupid does that sound???? How can I do so? can you? if I really knew that I am living my last day, just imagine what all I would do - anything that I wished to - anything meaning anything. I am a hypocrite, so cant write everything out here ;-)

How big an achievement is it to be a Software Engineer ??

I was very seriously thinking about this for the last 2 or 3 days, how great is it on this earth to be a software engineer. I am sure western world might not see software engineering as a great work but in our nation – India- software engineers are considered next to god!!! unfortunate; This is all because they live a lavish life style, dress well, drive a nice car, and work in air conditioned work space, is that all enough to qualify one to be a very successful person in life? Hope not. Rather, wish not. But trust me, I feel, that is how it is.

How much of the work that software engineer produces if flawless? If it was so we would never need a separate department for testing softwaresJ. Every engineer – developer- I know of, works with one intention in mind, there is testing team to find bugs, why should I be bothered, and never bother to produce something flawless or at least close to flawless. Saying this, I don’t want to say that every software engineer is the same, if it was so, software engineering would have not come so far. Per say, how many people blog and how many searches for that, there is the answer. The day Google servers crash, the productivity of our so called great Software engineers would probably drop by 80%?? I guess 85%!! Maybe more J so, what is today’s development methodology called? Waterfall, Agile, Scrum – no it is GOD – Google Oriented Development. Interesting!!

I am not underestimating all the work that we do, I am just trying to let people realize, if not so, that we – software engineers - are doing nothing great than any one around, unless you are doing it with passion. But I don’t feel people feel so. In India, almost every parent wants their kids to be a Software Engineer and nothing less than that – I say it because most of the other jobs are considered disrespect!! It is almost considered a SIN for not being one!! The person is almost considered useless if not!! I guess, this is all because most of it is by purpose than by passion. I don’t want to talk much about it here, have been talking for long now. Every one wants to be with a big branded company no matter what they do there as long as they are paid for it!!! Again – as my blog says I am speaking my heart – never mind if others agree with me or not.

If you ask me, in the current trend, getting a job as a software engineer is the easiest of all jobs that I can think of!! Have a graduation in hand – the easiest of all the tasks today - and you are half done, browse internet for some puzzles – with answers though – you are closer – bluff a bit in the interview and you are in – are you a beautiful good looking girl? – You will have some reservation - not to worry much – isn’t that easy?

how important is motivation in ones life....????

I believe, everyone on this earth is motivated towards something or the other and by someone or the other.. or may be... self motivated.. now.. what matters is the intensity of motivation and how long does that motivation affect your actions in your life.. a regular behavior of human is to get motivated by something and that stays active not for long.. and we get back to normal.. yes it happened with me too.. when I was watching Surya in "Surya S/O krishnan", I was very motivated to build up my body as his.. haaaaaaaaa but I knew that would never happen... so.. I am exactly the way I was before watching the movie. Dint put up even a single gram to my weight after that.... interesting ;-) ...... means I was not enough motivated.. if so, what might have motivated me more than that.. may be if I had to impress a girl with my physique.. I would have probably worked harder..  !! I had no strong motivation to put on my body !! great... luckily it is not the same with my career.. I have found more reasons, rather better reasons to be motivated when it comes to my career.. guess what.. a BMW, an Audi or a Rover.. yup.. my passion to own a better car than what I currently own motivates me.. and as it says.. there is never an end as long as we have new cars coming up.. isn't that interesting now... motivation for life time... oh!! meaning.. if I had an option to replace my girl with someone new.. may be I would have been motivated even in the first case.. ;-) hummmm not a practically viable situation.. so better gave up the first goal and I am very happy this way.. and reason to escape working up my body for hours.. hard to do than said !!!! Instead.... I decided to add up weight to my brain.. hoping even that would do the needful ;-)

I would say, motivation definitely helps one to achieve goals easier and still keep you active... when you set goals.. have strong motivation behind that.. may be something like me !! motivation in certain case can be because of someone in life.. but I would say.. self motivation is the most viable option !! be self motivated.. nothing can damage it !!


I also feel, it is equally important for someone to not just be motivated but be motivation for others.. yes.. and I also feel that, it is not really necessary for someone to be successful at every stage of life to motivate others.. rather a person with great success stories after sorrowful failures might be even more motivating.. as you find such people more frequent than the former !!! fyi, I rather come into later category !!! when one tries to motivate others, they tend to do things better than normal... dont they? I believe in that principle though !!

anyway.. as the blog says.. I am just speaking my mind.. irrespective of what it means to other minds.. take it if you think it is making sense ignore it if it is not !!! Good Luck !!

Voice against corruption !!!

last 4 days - something really remarkable - listening to the slogan "Bharath Maata ki Jai" was really pleasing.. no political party name, no politician name in the slogan no religion no caste.. when was the last time we saw such a thing especially for a good cause... come lets fight. This is a common man fight for our own rights.. it is like now or never.. I am amazed to see this happen just in days after I wrote in my blog - I was wrong. not every one among us is sleeping. We can do and one man has proven that... time to react I hope this is not let down... millions fighting for their own rights... was reading the other day about one stupid film director saying this does not make any difference to him.. screw him and his statements a** ****

Was watching TV and was surprised to see school kids talk about corruption, should that be considered awareness on a good note or the depth of the roots of corruption on the wrong note.. I was unable to decide.. kids too talking about corruption and supporting Anna was in a way inspiring and was worrying too.. tears flew down my eyes.. what a situation we are in... our f*****ing ba**** politicians and bureaucrats have brought us down to such a worst stage... just imagine.. what is the money they are dwindling on.. it is ours.. we paid it in the form of taxes.. it is our sweat and blood

97 hours fasting from one great man has awakened the entire nation. Glad to see the kind of support he got. Irrespective of what the end result is going to be, one should be glad that there are many Indians wanting a change and just waiting for the right time to fight it back. And yes it was all over the news that it was a victory of common man and victory of democracy... the worrying part is, our politicians are well know to slip tongues, will this not be another such case?? you never know..... lets us wait and watch !!!

Finally.. Someone fasting for a good cause with good heart !!!

Kisan Bapat Baburao Hazare - Here I am at your feet... every sensible Indian must be very proud of you and everyone supporting you.. glad to see something good happening.. but I am worried our f****ing politicians would let you die at the cost of their earnings.. How many politicians have we seen go on a hunger strike. Many great gentlemen went on a hunger strike from my unfortunate state of Andhra Pradesh and no one did it for more than a couple days and everyone is behind them, take them under medical surveillance for a couple days.. lots of followers create ruckus and nonsense.. and thats it.. everything comes to a halt with a half empty stomach and stacked up bank accounts..... and back to normal.. all sort of dramas around well managed by the great NEWS MEDIA MAFIA.......

I dint have lunch for a day and I uttered it over a dozen times before I went to bed, I am not even half his age... shame on me... This great person is now 71 years and fighting against b******ds in the counts of 100's for the sake of 121cr odd Idiots... I pray god almighty, let his wish come true, let someone realize the need of his act. I am sure our crazy people are more worried about IPL. Most of them do not even know the reason why this great person has decided to go on "Fast till Death". I pity our nation. Nothing is going to change this country. Literally Nothing.
