Hope - always say, I can do it.

Have you ever felt like…. ****… my work’s dull, I am underutilized? I can do much better. Am I in a wrong place? And the result of this is putting you down at work. Start feeling defeated in your career and start looking to change your action; If this is how you are thinking, you are thinking right. However, you started thinking weird but with a proper conclusion, “change your action”. Though they seem to be negative thoughts, in reality they are not. You are in the initial stages of motivating yourself for a better career. But, what would that change of action be? When should it start?
The root of all change is attitude. Change your thoughts, change your way of looking at the world, looking at people around you. Think big, never underestimate yourself. Positive thoughts result in positive actions. Pursue your goal, even in the face of difficulties. Convert difficulties into opportunities. Keep your morale high, in spite of setbacks. At the end you are bound to succeed. The problem with, we, Indians is that we have lost the habit of thinking big.
I remember, an instance when I was driving back home in my car after a late night party. It was late in the night I was enjoying my drive all the way, roads in Hyderabad are usually jammed with heavy traffic and never so free. Thrill doubled as it started raining, I personally enjoy driving in rain J (more with someone beside). I was about to reach home, just a km or 2 away and then found a row of vehicles struck in a stream of water coming down the road. Stopped for a while to see if I can take some other way but then decided to take the stream, again, I love taking challenges.
With a little hope in the heart that I could make it I drove my car ahead finding my way out through the stream and the vehicles already struck. The tiny little engine was roaring at the pitch of it’s noise I can feel the engine was puffing very heavily. The little engine must have thought the task was too big but still gave it a try. Ultimately we made it. Crossed the stream;
Stopped a while after crossing the stream; Looking back to the stream had a pat on my back and for my car too. When I thought, what engine would have thought the moment it was crossing the stream, if it had life, was, “I think I can. I think I can. I think I can”. My car was back to its normal rhythm now, when I questioned my self of what would engine be thinking now, an answer came from my within, “I thought I could. I thought I could. I thought I could”, smiled to myself.
But I realized the moral behind that story of little engine, when I face with difficult situation in my life as I grew up. I have come to realize that, when you take a look at the goals you have for your personal and business lives, it may seem to you that you have two huge streams to cross. You may be feeling a lot like that little engine and think there is no way you can achieve these goals.

I'm sure you've heard the expression, "You have to see it to believe it". If this is how you look at life, then you will never get anywhere you want to go. The truth is, in order to reach any goal, large or small, "You have to believe it to see it".
Any new action begins with a thought. What ever thoughts you repeat over and over in your mind are spoken out of your mouth. What ever you speak over and over again translates into actions. It applies for both good and bad. Positive thoughts bring positive actions, negative thoughts bring negative actions. This is how I answer “How do you change your actions?” Ignore rather forget all the negative words spoken over you and to you in your life.
Every morning you wake up, go stand in front of the mirror. Say it to yourself “I can do this” and believe in yourself, you can do it. Trust me, you can do it.
